My stay at The Media Hotel & Towers was a mix of highs and lows. While the staff were friendly and tried their best, the overall condition of the hotel left much to be desired. The rooms were spacious but quite worn, and the amenities were lacking. I had hoped for a better experience, especially given the hotel's historical reputation.

Rooms
5.0
The room was spacious with two panorama windows offering excellent views, but it showed signs of wear. The cleanliness could have been better, with noticeable stains on the carpet and bedsheets. Plus, the humidity made the air quite uncomfortable.
Service
5.0
The service was a mixed bag. While the staff were friendly, some were aloof and disinterested. There were also issues with communication; I was woken up early out of nowhere for laundry I hadn't requested.
Location
5.0
The hotel is situated in a location that's not great for shopping or exploring. However, it's close to some attractions like Seaside Entertainment Park Ancol and the old Dutch town center, which is a plus.
Dining
5.0
I opted not to have breakfast due to the crowded and messy atmosphere. The quality of the dining options seemed mediocre at best, and it didn't inspire much confidence.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities are quite basic and seem in need of updating. Although they offer services like room service and laundry, the execution could definitely improve. The swimming pool was not very appealing either.

My stay at The Media Hotel & Towers turned out to be quite disappointing. I did appreciate the friendly staff, but the overall service felt unhelpful. The rooms were in need of maintenance, and the cleanliness was below standard, which made my stay less enjoyable.

Rooms
5.0
The room was non-smoking and clean, but it had a musty smell that made it feel old and unwelcoming. The carpets and bedsheets had noticeable stains, which was a letdown for a hotel claiming to be of higher standard.
Service
5.0
While the staff was friendly, they seemed overwhelmed and unable to provide the support needed. For example, I faced issues with early check-in and felt like the communication was inconsistent, which left me frustrated.
Location
5.0
The hotel's location is convenient for activities in northern Jakarta, but the condition of the facilities, like the marble flooring, could use some attention. It definitely didn’t feel well-maintained.
Dining
6.0
I enjoyed the dining experience. the food quality was decent and one of the highlights of my stay. However, I wish the breakfast selection was better and matched the hotel's supposed standard.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities like room service and laundry were available, but I found that the overall ambiance was lacking. The elevator experience was particularly concerning, as it felt unreliable during my stay.

I had a mixed experience at The Media Hotel & Towers in Jakarta. The room was comfortable and clean, but I was disappointed with the overall quality of the dining options and certain facilities. The location is convenient for business in Mangga Dua, but the hotel shows signs of aging. making for a less than stellar stay.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, but it felt like it needed an upgrade. especially with some noticeable stains on the carpet and bedsheets.
Service
5.0
The service was quite poor. From the bellboy who just watched me struggle with my luggage to the fact that there was no welcome drink upon check-in, it was disappointing.
Location
6.0
The hotel is strategically located near Mangga Dua Square, making it convenient for business. but there's not much in terms of shopping or attractions in the immediate area.
Dining
5.0
I found the quality of the dining options really low, especially the breakfast. which lacked variety and freshness. The Thai restaurant was a bright spot, though.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities like room service and the swimming pool were okay, but the executive lounge was closed. which was a letdown for what I expected from a place that used to be a Sheraton.

I enjoyed my recent stay at The Media Hotel & Towers, with spacious, clean rooms and a fantastic breakfast that stood out among other hotels in Southeast Asia. The pool area offered stunning views, perfect for winding down. However, the hotel's overall condition feels dated and could really benefit from renovations to enhance the overall experience.

Rooms
8.0
The room was comfortable and spacious, featuring two panorama windows that provided great views. Definitely a reminder of a time when the hotel was great.
Service
7.0
The staff was friendly and helpful, though I did notice some areas where service could improve, especially with the bell staff.
Location
7.0
The location is strategic, particularly if you're doing business in the Mangga Dua area, and it's close to Ancol. Still, I would recommend a taxi to get back after exploring the historic Batavia area.
Dining
9.0
Breakfast was one of the highlights with a variety of options, including freshly made waffles, and the Media Lounge was a nice spot for drinks. dining overall was pleasant.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities include a nice swimming pool and amenities like room service. However, the pool area, while nice, felt smaller than I expected.
